I really didn’t expect much from this movie. I was like OK, Beyonce’s in it, OK Jennifer Hudson,well,I haven’t ever seen her act before,and Jamie Foxx is in it so it might be good.But you know how some actors have their good movies and their bad movies? I didn’t really have high expectations for this movie, but when I saw it I was impressed.I didn’t think it was going to be like a musical and more like a movie, and it was like Chicago, and Chicago is one of my favorite movies.This totally blows Chicago out of the water,I think,with the singing and Jennifer Hudson’s acting. I know her personally, and to see her on the big screen I was, like, oh my gosh. I had chills,and she got to kiss Jamie Foxx. When that happened I just jumped out of my seat. Jan. 7-8, 2006 - "American Idol" finalist Jasmine Trias also rode a kalesa through Vigan and attracted as much or perhaps more attention than Lingle. Trias' free concert last night with dancers from Tihati's Polynesian Review attracted more than 2,000 fans to the Plaza Burgos in the center of town.
The concert Saturday night in Laoag City filled the city center with an estimated 10,000 fans, who sang along with Trias on most of her numbers.

FILIPINO CENTENNIAL: CONCERT ON ROXAS BOULEVARD
Trias and dancers from Tihati's Polynesian Review will perform at six concerts in the Philippines as part of the official visit. A concert on Thursday is expected to close Roxas Boulevard, the main street that runs along Manila Bay.
Trias also is a spokeswoman for Dole-Asia, which is sponsoring a dinner in Manila next Tuesday on the governor's last night in the Philippines.
The trip to the Ilocos region north of Manila will be Trias' first outside Manila.
"I'm just proud to be a Filipino," she said of the centennial.
When she arrived, Trias was given a lei made out of Sampaguita, a form of jasmine that is the national flower of the Philippines.
